Hey guys, as promised, I’m back with another update on my coin grind in EA Sports FC 25, and this time, I’ve crossed a major milestone—hitting over 2 million FC 25 coins! Not only did I hit that target, but I also managed to push a little beyond, all thanks to a series of well-timed flips, particularly focusing on the Road to the Knockout (RTK) Team 2 cards.
In today’s post, I’m going to walk you through how I achieved this milestone, the key trading methods I used, and some potential investment opportunities that I believe could yield great results in the coming days. Whether you’re looking to flip for a quick profit or invest long-term, there’s something here for everyone.
Road to 2 Million Coins
I hit 2 million coins in this episode, and the journey was not as difficult as you might think, especially if you stay updated with the market fluctuations and understand the mechanics behind flipping promo cards. To give you a quick rundown, I heavily invested in RTK Team 2 cards, making well over 60k profit on some cards like Harry Kane. I also traded Kai Havertz, buying him for around 600k and flipping multiple copies for 680-690k.
I’ve always said that promo cards are one of the best ways to make quick coins, and this episode just proved it again. Even if you miss out on big flips, there’s always a learning opportunity for the next week. For instance, I lost some coins on my first Orsolini card flip but made up for it on other trades.
Remember, the market tends to spike on Fridays when new promo cards drop, and that’s where most of the profit opportunities lie. If you got in on these flips or followed along with my Twitter updates, I’m sure you made some good profit too!
Heroes Welcome Pack and Market Crash
A significant factor that impacted the market this week was the Heroes Welcome Pack that EA dropped. If you logged into EA Sports FC 25 for seven consecutive days, you would have received this pack, which essentially offers the equivalent of a 50k pack with a guaranteed 84+ rated player and a base hero loan card. This led to a temporary market crash as people opened packs and flooded the market with fodder.
The good news? I used this crash to my advantage by buying up underpriced cards that I knew would rebound. For instance, players like Diogo Jota and Vicario dropped drastically in price but have already started to recover. As we speak, the gold market is slowly bouncing back, and now is the time to take advantage of these dips.
Trading Methods I Used to Hit 2 Million Coins
I’ve discussed various low-budget trading methods before, like flipping cards for quick profit (buying at a low price and selling them a few minutes later), but the real money is in out-of-pack investments. Cards that leave packs tend to rise consistently because their supply is cut off while demand remains the same or increases.
One of my favorite out-of-pack investments has been Team of the Week cards. Once a Team of the Week card leaves packs, its price generally starts to climb, and there’s very little risk involved. In particular, I’m looking at Bremer from Team of the Week 2 as a solid investment. I picked him up for around 112,000 coins, and I’m confident he’s going to perform well in the market.
If you’re new to trading, here’s a quick breakdown of the types of cards you should be investing in:
- Low Budget: Cards like Van de Beek and Lang are great for small profits. Even if they don’t rise significantly, the minimal risk makes them safe bets.
- Medium Budget: Players like Sesko and Romero offer more potential upside while still being affordable for most players.
- High Budget: For those of you with more coins, investing in cards like Franck Kessié and Julian Alvarez could pay off big time.
Liga F Player of the Month SBC
A curveball was thrown this week with the announcement of the Liga F Player of the Month SBC. I was almost certain it would be Eva Navarro, but it ended up being Athenea del Castillo. Regardless of the player, this SBC has implications for the market, particularly for cards that link well with her. I’ve been keeping a close eye on Antoine Griezmann, as his links to both Athenea and Khephren Thuram (another SBC) make him a prime candidate for price increases.
If you’re looking for other investments based on these SBCs, Theo Hernandez might be tempting, but I believe Di Marco is a better option. He’s out of packs, and his price has been steadily rising since the Division Rivals reward crash. He links to Thuram, which makes him an attractive option for hybrid squads, and at 108,000 coins, he’s still relatively affordable.
Key Investments for the Week Ahead
As I’ve mentioned, the promo card market is a goldmine for smart traders. Here are a few cards that I think will rise over the next few days:
- De Marco (RTK Team 1): This card is out of packs and has links to both Thuram and Inter Milan squads. At 108,000 coins, it’s a solid buy, and I expect it to rise steadily.
- Bremer (Team of the Week 2): This center-back from Juventus has great links, and I managed to snag him for 112,000 coins with a Shadow chemistry style. His price should rise as demand for quality defenders increases.
- Nicholas Jackson (Team of the Week): While not a spectacular card, he’s currently very cheap at 14,500 coins and gets excellent links to Chelsea squads. He could also be part of a future Evolution SBC, making him a worthwhile long-term investment.
- Claudia Pinheiro (RTK Team 1): If you’re into low-budget flips, Pinheiro could see a rise, especially if her links to popular SBCs like Athenea become more valuable over time.
Timing Your Buys
One of the most common questions I get is, “When should I buy?” Based on my experience, Saturday and Sunday are often the best times to invest, especially when the market is flooded with FUT Champions rewards. Cards tend to be at their lowest during this period, and by Monday, prices usually start to rebound.
This weekend, I’m particularly interested in Militao as an out-of-pack investment. His price may dip further before rising once he’s no longer in packs, so keep an eye on him.
Final Thoughts and Future Plans
So that’s how I hit 2 million coins and some of the key investments I’ve made to get there. Trading in EA Sports FC 25 is all about timing and market knowledge, and I hope today’s post helps you on your journey to financial success in Ultimate Team.
